Roan Saunders

With more than 25 years of experience in finance and operations management, Roan serves as the chief financial officer of The Verdant Companies and oversees all company financial matters. Until its sale to a publicly traded company, he was the head of finance for over 14 years at Dynis, a large regional telecommunications company. Roan managed the organization’s financial and contractual activities and he was a key part of all merger and acquisition negotiations. He also managed Dynis’ banking, tax, and audit relationships. Previously, he was director of operations and customer service at Amstar Communications, a national telecom service provider. Roan co-owns Telegia Communications, Inc., a regional ISP and telecommunications provider based in Frederick, Maryland and serves as the board chairman and CFO for that company. Roan earned his M.B.A from Frostburg State University with a concentration in accounting and holds a B.S. degree from Embry-Riddle University. He and his wife Kristen reside in Frederick County’s Walkersville, MD.
