MARYLAND
Urbana
Urbana is conveniently located near the I-270/MD 80 interchange, less than an hour drive northwest of Washington, D.C., and just over 7 miles southeast of Frederick. The area began experiencing population growth in 1999 with the creation of new developments such as the Villages of Urbana and The Urbana Highlands.
With plenty of community amenities as well as nearby 95-acre Urbana District Park, it is no surprise that Urbana was ranked one of Time magazines “Best Places to Live 2015.” Urbana is also home to an award winning high school. US News and World Report rated Urbana High School 15th in the state of Maryland, and the Washington Post named it one of the top 50 most challenging schools in the Washington, D.C., area. Urbana also has a variety of early education opportunities and great elementary and middle schools.
